Our Bimetal Hole Saws are constructed using High Speed Steel (HSS) teeth that are electron welded onto a high carbon steel body providing maximum durability and a long working life. The teeth are carefully engineered for quicker and more aggressive cutting performances, and with improved chip clearance and varying gullet depths, lower feed pressure is required.
This design also ensures that less heat is generated, which in turn helps the teeth to stay sharp longer. If you want to extend the lifespan of your hole saw even further, we recommend using a cooling lubricant to decrease heat build-up, which can increase the longevity of the saw by 500%.
Bimetal Hole Saws range from 14mm to 210mm in diameter and can be used with a variety of machines, including portable electric tools, air tools, drill presses, lathes, boring mills, and milling machines that have rotating spindles. Our hole saws come with different threaded connector sizes depending on the diameter of the saw required. 14mm to 30mm diameter hole saws come with a 1/2-20UNF threaded connector while 32mm to 210mm diameter hole saws come with a threaded connector of 5/8-18UNF.
The HSS teeth of our Bimetal hole saws are designed to cut accurately through machinable materials up to 38mm thick, such as steel, cast iron pipe, steel plates, aluminum, copper, brass, wood, and plastic.
We also produce a Dual Metal Hole opener that is constructed from M42 material which is electron-beam welded and then subjected to high-temperature quenching. This process creates a sharp and durable tooth that is unlikely to break and provides smooth drilling. This tool is suitable for cutting through materials such as aluminum, steel, casting materials, wood, plastic materials, gypsum board, and stainless steel.
